Collabor8bit - A Pogo Community Project

Collabor8bit is a collaboration of many different artists from the Pogo community creating their own 8-bit music. I wanted to contribute somehow but since I can't make music, I decided to make their album cover. Here's what I came up with.

Beachy

My video 'Beachy' which uses footage I've captured from Little Corona Del Mar in Newport Beach. I've also added some bits of Pogo's 'Kadinchey' which the track that's also being used is remixed by D!tto.

J'adore Juin Fan-made Videos

The end of completing a video is just such a satisfying feeling...but getting the right renders is just a pain. It stalls you from having to release your work to the world.

Here's my fan-made video for Pogo's 'J'adore Juin' (The Apartment Remix) There was no video to this track(at least I don't think there was) so I decided to create a video in my own perspective. Hope you all enjoy! Kadinchey :)

Expialidocious (Kinetic Typography)

Well it's finally done...After months of procrastination, I finally finished my Kinetic Typography video on Pogo's 'Expialidocious.' It was quite the journey but it was definitely worth it.

I know there's a handful of you that don't enjoy the fact that people try to make up lyrics with Pogo's music but these were the things I heard from 'Expialidocious' and it's hard not to hum or whistle along with the tune...eventually you'll start saying gibberish words that don't mean anything but has a symphonic melody. The main reason why I chose to do 'Expialidocious' was that this was the first Pogo track I was introduced and just fell in complete love with.

Hope you'll all enjoy, it took me quite a while to get everything on the point and not to mention After Effects just eats my computer alive...

D!tto - Close Your Eyes

Here's a video I made for D!tto's track 'Close Your Eyes.' Recently, I've been listening to this track multiple times during the hour and I wanted to make a video for D!tto, thanking him for such a beautiful track.

I wanted to use, Walt Disney's 'Mulan' due to that it really compliments D!tto's track. At least when I listen to it, Mulan was the first thing to pop into my head.

Well it's my second attempt and this was quite the journey and it's finally come to an end. My second contribution video to the artists 'Dainumo' and 'P.SUS' to their mix "Toyager," which is a mix between Daft Punk's "Voyager" and Pogo's "Toys Noize." Quotes on shirts idea

There's a discussion on the Pogo Forums about shirts being made and I definitely like the idea of having a Space Bunny as a shirt. Then there was some people saying that the idea of using Pogo's vocal samples and adding it to a shirt. SO! I came up with these.

They're currently prototypes to just get the idea and if people want to see more or a revision of these t-shirt designs, then i'll do some tweaking on what I have now and maybe make a few more designs from Pogo's tracks.

Living Island!!!

It's been finally released and man does it feel good to listen to. I happen to be 3D modeling at the time and saw that Living Island was released. Thinking that Ariel would be released first! What a big surprise, made my day. Puts a huge smile on my face :D

Pogo live @ Lot 613

Whew what a weekend. Saw Pogo's last performance and not only that I finally got to see Swashbuckle and HR PufnStuf oh and not only that, i've recorded the entire set so I'll be uploading his set in a couple hours. Currently fixing sound distortion...I took some footage on my phone(Samsung Focus) and the sound quality came out better than my HD Camera....So much for that..but here's what I've gotten so far. This section will be updated as I upload the footage to youtube.

Motivated by Inspiration

I haven't really done anything graphic-wise in quite some time now and i've been constantly listening to "Wishery", one of my favorites from Pogo and it's definitely got me to finally get some work done. The last couple weeks have been just...a bit strange and confusing. Anyways, in return I've created my own graphic piece as a contribution to Mr. Bertke. Thanks and enjoy :)

Tributists

Lately I've been stumbling upon a few really amazing artists that sound very similar and have the same work style as Pogo

Now you're probably wondering who Pogo(fagottron) is. He's all I've been listening to ever since I heard his work on Alice It's highly recommended that you check out his work. Superb. Pogo in a nutshell; he takes small clips and sounds from Pixar films, Disney movies and pretty much any film that he grew up with, and turns them into music. This type of style of work really intrigues me, so I decided to do some more research on Youtube for artists that are similar to Pogo.

The three lads recently collaborated and made a series based on Star Wars. If you're a Star Wars fan and enjoy the music style of Pogo, you should definitely check out their Star Wars collaboration.







I believe the fourth one is in progress of being completed. I'm excited to see that one.

Today I've discovered another artist that goes by the name of Dittofication and his work is very similar to Pogo and the three tributists. Here's one of his video's that i've been really enjoying and can't stop listening to:



I'm hoping to see more of their work in the near future. It's great to hear music that's different and based on some of my favorite films. Keep up the good work guys!

Pogo's got a logo!

Congrats to the stunning and superb artist, Pogo for his new official logo. The simplicity of it's design expresses so much. (Look closer and you'll see that it resembles a classic Walt Disney character). The Space Bunny Logo was actually hand drawn by a friend of his and he took that sketch and digitally drew it. The finalized product was then completed by Tymn Armstrong, an amazing graphics artist. His simplistic work is really intriguing. Pogo's site has been updated as well and the download section contains tracks from 'Toyz Noize' to 'Alice', for all of us to hear and enjoy.Thanks Pogo!
